Got Fat? Get Motivated! Be Loyal To Your Goals, Workout, Yourself

"Success is the result of perfection, hard work, learning from failure, loyalty, and persistence."~ Colin Powell

Be Loyal to Your Goals, Workout, Yourself

As we approach the New Year, I would love for everyone to begin to reflect on 2011.  What were some of your biggest accomplishments? Failures? Remember success doesn't come without failure.  What would you like to change for 2012?  No dwelling on mistakes or what we should of or could have done differently.  What I want is focus, reflection, and HOW we can and will do things differently in the coming year.

You are your biggest fan, you owe it to yourself to be loyal.  Loyalty at times can be scarce or maybe non-existent.  Not everyone is the same. You don't have to rely on others, you have the ability to support yourself.  Yes, we all need friends and special people in our lives, but when we truly need something done, why wait?  Find a way to do it yourself.

Let's apply this concept to our goals.  Sure many people have the New Year's resolution to get in shape, lose weight, workout more, eat healthy, etc.  How many of you have been at the gym the first week of January fighting for equipment?   By the end of the month, however, the gym census dwindles down.  2012 is the "year" of change.  Keywords being "year" and "change".  Do not make unrealistic goals that will become non-existent as the year goes on.  Do not wait for a push from a friend or a work-out partner.  Make "lasting" goals and be "LOYAL" to them throughout the entire year.  Focus on how good it feels to be fit, how good you look in your skinny jeans, how good your pants fit, how good your arms look, so on and so forth.  We owe it to ourselves, our health, our well-being to be fit and healthy throughout the entire year.

"If you set goals and go after them with all the determination you can muster, your gifts will take you places that will amaze you." ~ Les Brown

Sending wishes for love and success in 2012,
~ D
