  3. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

I think the meaning is universal and obvious,.that's why it's my favorite. It's gotten me to the gym, the in-law's, work and countless other places more times than I care to admit!

  4. "To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment". -Ralph Waldo Emerson

This quote helps me focus on what is really important in my life. Who I am is what defines me, not how much stuff I have or what others think I should have or act like, look like, dress like, etc. Who I am makes my life valuable and no one can take that away from me.

  5. "Anyone can do something when they WANT to do it. Really successful people do things when they don't want to do it."--Dr. Phil

This applies to me in many different areas of my life, from getting up and working out each day, to reading my bible daily (devotions). I find that I don't always feel like doing things, but when I do, and I put my all into it, I feel successful and ready to conquer the whole world!

  7. One of my favorites is: “You don’t drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.” — Edwin Louis Cole

It helps me get back up when I've fallen off the fitness wagon (as I tend to do more often than I like). It's so easy to get defeated and just want to give up completely on healthy living. Then I think of this quote and am reminded that I CAN pull myself back up and start over! It applied to my in my job situation last year too. I had a job I couldn't stand, but instead of just staying there and being miserable, I decided to make a change for the better!

  9. "Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain"

You have to try to live life to the fullest, even through all the hard times. I try to be as positive as I can. This has helped me through all the hard times having children with special needs.

  10. "Never put off to tomorrow, what you can do today" - Thomas Jefferson

I love this quote. So many times a day, I have to motivate myself to do my cardio (or anything in life, for that matter). I am only hurting myself if I put off my workout. I have to do it everyday and not have the excuse,"I will do it tomorrow" because tomorrow is today.

  11. I'm paraphrasing this quote as I don't have it in front of me. I'm not even sure of the author. But the quote says you can have your achievements or you can have your excuses. It's your choice. Lesleydumas@att.net

  15. The quote I find most motivational is: "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall". -Confucius

If there is one thing I have discovered throughout life, it is that we all fall. Many times. More than once. As a perfectionist, I have put together workout plans and schedules with the best of intentions, passion, and motivation, and yet life inevitably takes unexpected turns and I miss a day and fall off track. This quote reminds me that resolutions--whether in workouts or in other facets of life--are not hopelessly ruined when a day is missed or a wrong step is taken. All is not lost, and in fact, true strength is not found in the fire of the "All or nothing mentality" that will give it all or give up altogether. Instead, true power is found in the little voice of persistence that fell flat on its face in failure, and yet gets up, looks towards the sky and says, "Yes, I fell. But I will try again tomorrow".
