Push/Pull Workout in Simple Terms
by D. R. Arevalo

Hello.  I apologize that this post is coming so late in the day, have been extremely busy.  We had a great week, last week with  a lot of people dropping in and asking questions, etc.  Again, I want to thank Jennifer and Frank for helping make the blog become successful, much more to come.  I also wanted to touch upon something that Frank discussed last week.  Push/Pull workout splits.  Frank has been helping us with getting started and not giving up.  I, myself have been reading the posts and trying to work with push/pull exercises  and routines that he had mentioned last week.  But, I am in no way experienced in lifting weights so, I wanted to try to help those who are wondering what the heck is push/pull workout split. My only experience is lifting years ago, I know the basics but I myself am wondering??? And, Frank, if you read this please feel free to correct me or touch upon this topic further.

From what I have researched push pull workouts and push pull split workouts are the most basic form of weightlifting.  They allow one to workout more than one muscle or body part per exercise.    The purpose of doing so, allows one to workout all essential body parts over a three day period. Practicing this technique allows the muscles to recover more efficiently  and always ready for the next routine.  An example of a pull day would be working out bicep muscles and upper back muscles. A push day would be working out the chest, shoulders, and triceps.

An extremely simple way of thinking about the push pull concept is PUSH-  pushing weight away and PULL- pulling weight toward you.  Sounds easy enough.  Let's try it.

Try these routines and report back to us. Who needs a personal trainer when you have a fitness coach or beach body consultant?

Thank you!

As always, it is my pleasure to provide this helpful information to you.

Warm Regards,
Dana

Stay tuned this week we will have more helpful info with Frank, Friday's with A Mother's Fitness to Love and a fun interview with an awesome boxing coach, Mr. Danny Cee.
