Out of Sight, Out of Mind

I now fully understand, "Out of site, out of mind" when it comes to eating healthy.  When one is eating healthy there is no cheating, no sneaking, it is more like "Do not purchase the items and you will not crave them."  Think about it, if the food is not in your home, you are less likely to go to the store to get it.  It is easier to walk  to the cabinet and eat  away. 

I have been eating healthy or eating clean now for about a good four to five weeks straight.  I do have days that I call "cheat days" where I can have a snack or a meal I would not normally have but I refrain from having something unhealthy every day.  Sticking to this healthy eating regimen I have lost six and 1/2 pounds.  Diet is so important! 

Here, at 365daysofhealthandfitness I dislike the word, diet.  So eating healthy should be a daily practice that occurs at all times.  When I think of diet I think of something "temporary".  Mark my words, if you do not follow a healthy eating pattern you will be working out to maintain your weight rather then slimming down and or losing weight or fat.  You will fail, I know. 

I do not know about you, but I do not want to workout to eat.  How can one start eliminating cravings or trigger foods?  DO NOT BUY THEM - out of sight...out of mind.  After the first couple of weeks, the cravings go away.  I now crave salad, fruits, veggies, and chicken breast.  Chocolate passes my mind but I know I do not need it.  You fall into a healthy eating routine.  Last evening, I had the opportunity to have chocolate cake and I passed, I had a peach.  Keep doing it and you will see results.
