"You've got to be blind if you don't see that I'm sweet on you all the time." ~ Francine Chair

It's good to be sweet...isn't it? Not all the time, especially when it comes to fitness and nutrition. Sugar is our enemy when it is related maintaining a healthy diet. Sugar is a sweetener and preserver. Sugar defined is a sweet crystalline or powdered substance, white when pure, consisting of sucrose obtained mainly from sugar cane and sugar beets and used in many foods, drinks, and medicines to improve their taste.
Why are we even looking to "improve" the taste of things? Perhaps we are never satisfied? As I was growing up, my mother never added extra sugar or salt to food. I was accustomed to eating the food and thought it was extremely tasteful. This changed over the years and I started adding salt and sugar to different things; which is obviously not a healthy choice.
Think twice before choosing certain food items, always check the sugar content, as everything contains sugar. I received the following infographic and I thought everyone would be shocked at the sugar content in some items. As the infographic states, certain sugary drinks (only one) can equal your entire sugar content for 11 days! Do not drink them!! Drink water!
