Calorie Content: Avoid Fast Food

We've all heard the saying "You are what you eat".   In a sense, the saying is very true.  In our fast-paced world we are continually on the go.  Many of us are so used to having things, immediately; hence it's easy to make unhealthy choices and often crave unhealthy foods when it comes to eating. 
 
Fast food should be our enemy.  If we are what we eat fast food will make us sluggish, bloated, empty (calories), and over time FAT and in poor health. 
 
Take a look at the infographic below which shows calories in some famous fast food items.  They are 1,000 calories plus!!  Next time you are craving "fast food" think twice.  Think of all of the empty unhealthy calories that you are about to give your body.
 
Repeat after me:  Food is for fuel, nourishment, and health not overindulgence and satisfaction
 
Plan meals ahead of time, this will help you avoid making unhealthy food choices.  Take lunch and dinner breaks when at work or school, eat slowly and enjoy what you are eating.  It takes time to get used to changing your eating habits.  Do it slowly. I can honestly say that I enjoy a good hearty salad as much as ice-cream.
