Becoming the best version of yourself is one of the best things you’ll ever do. You know the best version of yourself, because you probably think of them regularly. They probably have that body you’ve never managed to achieve, they probably wake up earlier, and they probably have more time and money. They’re definitely happier, too! But how do you become the best version of yourself? Anybody can do it, you just have to make changes and form new, good habits. Here’s how you can get started:

Figure Out What You Need To Improve On

If you’re self aware, then you might already have a good idea of what you’d like to improve on. Maybe you aren’t motivated enough day to day. Maybe you say negative things a lot, or don’t feel you see your friends enough. Maybe you know you should exercise, but you don’t. Whatever it is, write it down. Write out what your ideal self looks like. Write out what they do in a day. Then figure out ways you can make your current reality match up with this. This should be exciting, and it should make you feel good!

Work On Serious Issues First

Maybe you’re in an abusive relationship, or you have a drug problem. These issues are quite serious, so you need to fix these before anything else. It might be joining a young adult addiction treatment centre to become healthy again. When you beat issues like this, you’ll feel like you can do anything!

Get Up Earlier Each Day

The most successful people in the world get up earlier than everybody else. Sometimes, this is as early as 5am. Getting things done before the rest of the world feels amazing, and you’ll find that the more productive you start your day, the better it goes on. Having a morning routine that you really love to carry out will motivate you to get up. You can work on your self development when you get up, exercise, read - whatever you feel will get your day off to the best start. Making this a habit can be hard at first, but it will get easier!

Be Happy For No Reason

The key to being happy, is choosing to be happy. It isn’t actually having more money, a well respected job, or a fancy car. By simply choosing to be happy every day, for no real reason, your life will improve. Look at all of the things you have to be grateful for, and even more of them will enter your life.

Work Towards Your Goals Consistently

Write down your goals and work towards them consistently. Try to make it as fun as you can, though! Maybe you want to achieve your dream body, or land your dream job. Write down the steps and work on your goals daily.

Don’t Quit Because Of Setbacks

You should never quit because of setbacks. If anything, setbacks help us to learn and grow.

Surround Yourself With Like Minded People

Surrounding yourself with like minded people is a great way to get to where you want to be. People who care about your well being and lift you up are the best people to spend your time with.

Record Your Progress

Recording your progress so you can see how far you’ve come will motivate you to carry on!
