Becoming the Very Best Version Of Yourself

A lot is asked of us in the 21st century. There are social rules to follow, promotions to be earned, and material possessions that we need to have to keep up appearances. It’s draining work, and it’s no wonder that not all of us can keep up with everything that is asked. To some people, all these expectations are an invitation to hide away. But think of it another way. You don’t have to be the best person on the planet, but you should strive to be the very best version of yourself.

In the Body

Your body is a temple, whether you think of it that way or not. While you don’t have to become a weightlifter, you should keep up with at least the minimum recommended amount of exercise. Being active really does help us; it boosts our confidence, improves our looks, and gives us more energy throughout the day. If you’re currently living a pretty inactive life, start small and work your way up. Exercising for as little as twenty minutes today counts as a start! As your body gets leaner and fitter you’ll notice the benefits begin to take hold.

In the Mind

How we feel in our mind determines, well, just about everything. If we’re acing every other part of our life but feel out of sorts in our mind, then we need to make a change. If you’re in a low mood, then there are simple things you can do to give yourself a boost, such as eating well, doing something you enjoy, and exercising (you can kill two birds with one stone with this!). More complex issues might need the help of a psychiatrist to be overcome. Make sure you get your issues resolved; you can’t be the best version of yourself if you’re carrying the weight of your problems around!

Day to Day

There’s a chance that humans have overcomplicated their day to day lives. There’s so much we could do, and in the end, we end up feeling overwhelmed by everything! Start small and work your way up. For example, if you have to go to work then the minimum you should ask of yourself is taking care of your hygiene, eating well, and being where you need to be on time. That’s a solid platform from which to branch out and see what else happens. Take care of the basics, and everything else will fall in line.

Looking Beyond

If you’ve taken care of your physical health, your mind, and your day to day existence, the next thing you can do is change your mindset and begin to think bigger. There’s no pressure on this: it’s all up to you! There are more opportunities for an individual to do whatever they like than at any point in history, so ask yourself: what would you like to do? It’s only when we begin to dream big and look to throw ourselves into a new adventure that we become our true selves, the best version of ourselves.
